Exhibition: Unraveling Surrealism

"Unraveling Surrealism: Celebrating Women’s Narratives through Contemporary Fiber Art"

Closing October 25, 2024

When We Were The Same Star by Emily Peters (EiY) // On view until October 25, 2024

Curated by the Hartvest Project @hartvestproject in collaboration with the Fiber Artists Miami Association (FAMA) @fiberartistsmiamiassociation and hosted by Pinecrest Gardens, this exhibition marks the 100th anniversary of Surrealism, celebrating the remarkable contributions of women in art.

Through contemporary textile art, we reimagine and honor women's narratives, inviting artists to explore the magic and strangeness of beauty in the unconventional medium of fiber. This exhibition seeks to amplify and reclaim these voices, highlighting their lasting impact on the art world. By merging diverse fiber techniques, we encourage artists to push the boundaries of fiber art, creating new connections between past and present, tradition and innovation.
